Rovinari Picks China’s Huadian to Build Power Plant, Bursa Says

Complexul Energetic Rovinari SA, a state-owned Romanian electricity company, selected China Huadian Engineering Co. to build a 500-megawatt coal-fired plant, Bursa reported, citing unidentified company officials.

Rovinari and the Chinese company will negotiate a memorandum of understanding by the end of June on the 1 billion-euro ($1.3 billion) project and the plant is likely to be functional at the end of 2015, according to the newspaper.
