Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Jakarta.
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell 0.5 percent to 4,114.14. The gauge has fallen 2.4 percent this week, the biggest weekly drop since the five days ended Feb. 10.
Palm oil producers: PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) , the nation’s biggest listed plantation company by market value, fell 3.7 percent to 20,800 rupiah, the lowest close since Feb. 1. PT Gozco Plantations (GZCO) retreated 3.4 percent to 285 rupiah. Palm oil futures dropped as much as 2.5 percent to 3,265 ringgit ($1,063) a metric ton in Kuala Lumpur.
PT Medco Energi Internasional (MEDC) , Indonesia’s biggest listed oil company, fell 1.2 percent to 2,100 rupiah. Crude oil futures dropped as much as 1.4 percent to $95.74 a barrel in New York, heading for the biggest loss in a week.
