A.P.Moeller-Maersk A/S said Chief Executive Officer Nils Smedegaard Andersen will return to the company as of today after undergoing heart surgery.

“The company continues to be full of strength while I was absent,” Smedegaard Andersen said in the statement. “There’s a lot of activity in our markets and lots of inititives and challenges that I look forward to handling together with the rest of the management team and our employees.”
