Francesco Molinari of Italy scored a final-round 65, 7-under par, to win golf’s Spanish Open by three shots today, his first victory since 2010.
Spanish duo Alejandro Canizares and Pablo Larrazabal finished joint second on 5-under with Denmark’s Soren Kjeldsen.
Overnight leader Simon Dyson of England slumped to a 76 and finished down the field on 1-under par.
The winner picked up a prize of 333,330 euros ($436,000). His last victory was the HSBC Champions in Shanghai in November 2010.
