Hungary’s benchmark BUX (BUX) index fell 0.9 percent to 17,871.46 by the close in Budapest, retreating for a second day.

Magyar Telekom Nyrt. (MTEL) , Hungary’s former phone monopoly controlled by Deutsche Telekom AG, gained after news website Index reported the government will impose monthly limits on a planned phone tax. The shares rose as much as 0.9 percent and last traded 0.4 percent higher at 537 forint.
OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP) , Hungary’s largest lender, declined 3.2 percent to 3,678 forint. Data on global jobs and China’s services industry raised concern about slower economic growth.
