People earning more than 100,000 euros ($131,430) a year should pay the whole cost of medication, Andreu Mas-Colell, the finance chief of Spain’s Catalonia region, said in an article published by El Pais today.

He also said hospital patients should pay five euros for each day they are in care, to cut the public deficit.
