Peru will call bids to build and operate two gas-fired power plants in the Amazon jungle on May 10, state news agency Andina reported.
A unit of Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA and the groups Energias del Peru and Servicios Integrales de Energia have qualified to bid for the 20-year power plant concessions, which will generate a combined 68 megawatts in the cities of Pucallpa and Puerto Maldonado, the agency said.
