Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close in Jakarta.
The Jakarta Composite index rose 0.1 percent to 4,224.00, gaining for a fourth day to a record close.
PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) , Indonesia’s biggest listed plantation company by market value, rose 1.2 percent to 21,600 rupiah, the most since March 29. Astra Agro signed an agreement for a loan of as much as $50 million with three foreign banks, Finance Director Santosa said in Jakarta today.
PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) , a state-owned coal producer, climbed 0.8 percent to 18,300 rupiah. Bukit Asam will pay a dividend of 700.1 rupiah a share, or a total of 1.85 trillion rupiah ($199 million) compared with 1.21 trillion rupiah paid out last year, the company said today.
