Hungary to Limit Monthly Telephone Tax to 700 Forint, Origo Says

Hungary plans to limit a proposed monthly phone tax to 700 forint ($3.30) per person and to exempt the first 10 minutes of each call, news website Origo reported, citing Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy.

Most phone calls are shorter than 10 minutes, Matolcsy said at a meeting of ruling party lawmakers today, according to Origo.
