China’s Shanghai Composite Index Rises, Erasing Earlier Decline

China’s stocks rose, erasing earlier losses on speculation the central bank will ease monetary policy to boost economic growth.

The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.1 percent to 2,439.69 at 9:48 a.m. local time, wiping out a loss of as much as 0.3 percent.
