Falling Temperatures May Spur Brazil Frost, Forecaster Says

Falling temperatures in south Minas Gerais, the top coffee-producing state in Brazil, may cause frost overnight, according to the government’s Meteorology Institute, known as Inmet.

“Meteorological conditions are favorable” for frost, Inmet said in a statement posted today on its website.

Brazil is the world’s biggest coffee producer.
