Oman invited companies to bid for exploration rights for Block 65 in the northeast of the Arab country by July 1, Oman Daily Observer reported.

Block 65 covers an area of 1,230 square kilometers and is near other fields, according to the report that cited unidentified ministry officials. It borders Daleel Petroleum’s Block 5 and Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY)’s Block 27 to the north, Petroleum Development Oman’s Block 6 to the south, and Petroliam Nasional Bhd.’s Block 63 to the west, it said.
