The Charlotte Bobcats fired coach Paul Silas after the team finished a National Basketball Association-worst 7-59 this season, setting a record for lowest winning percentage.
Silas had a record of 32-88 after taking over the Michael Jordan-owned team in 2010. The Hornets in a statement said the search for a replacement would begin immediately.
Silas has a career record of 377-531 over 11 seasons with the Clippers, Hornets, Cavaliers and Bobcats.
