MetLife Weighing Acquisitions in U.S. and Beyond, Kandarian Says

MetLife Inc. (MET:US), the largest U.S. life insurer, said it is weighing acquisition opportunities in its home country and beyond.

“We are still looking at properties not just in the United States but globally that may make sense in terms of being a good fit from our point of view strategically,” Chief Executive Officer Steven Kandarian said today in a conference call.
