PT Adaro Energy (ADRO), Indonesia’s second-largest coal producer, said first quarter production rose 3.4 percent, helping to push sales higher.
Output increased to 10.96 million metric tons in the first quarter of this year, from 10.6 million tons during the same period last year, the company said in a statement to the Indonesia Stock Exchange dated yesterday. Sales of the fuel were 11.25 million tons, rising 3.1 percent from 10.91 million tons a year earlier, according to the statement.
Adaro remains on track to reach its 2012 full year production target of between 50 million to 53 million tons, the company said in the statement.
