The Stoxx Europe 600 Index rose 0.1 percent to 257.20. The Stoxx 50 Index (SX5P) increased 0.1 percent to 2,410.21. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index (SX5E), a benchmark measure for nations using the euro, declined less than 0.1 percent to 2,322.69.
Endesa SA (ELE SM): The Spanish utility company’s Latin American unit, Enersis SA (ENERSIS), will invest $6.8 billion between 2012 and 2016, a 13 percent increase from the amount budgeted for the 2011-2015 period. The shares fell 1.2 percent to 13.44 euros.
Xstrata Plc (XTA) : The biggest exporter of coal for power stations said it’s seeking to sell its 75 percent stake in the Donkin Coal project in Nova Scotia, Canada. The shares climbed 1 percent to 1,194.5 pence.
