Israel’s TA-25 index advanced for the third time this week, gaining 1.2 percent to 1,156.99 at 1:10 in Tel Aviv.

Alvarion Ltd. (ALVR) advanced 6.9 percent, poised for the biggest gain since Jan. 12, to 2.46 shekels. The telecommunications equipment maker said Hezi Lapid will replace Eran Gorev next month as chief executive officer.
Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (MLNX) rose 20 percent to 197.10 shekels, the highest level on record according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The maker of technology used to transfer data quickly said profit more than doubled in the first three months of 2012 from the year-earlier period.
