Tam SA (TAMM4), Brazil’s largest airline by market value, reduced its estimate for an increase in domestic demand for this year to between 7 percent and 9 percent from a previous guidance of 8 percent to 11 percent, the company said in a regulatory filing yesterday.
The company also revised its guidance for available seating, according to the statement. Tam said available seating may fall as much as 2 percent this year compared with last year, the statement added. Its previous estimate announced in January was for an increase of as much as 2 percent, the statement also said.
