Ellison Says Oracle Explored, Dropped Making Java Phone

Oracle Corp. Chief Executive Officer Larry Ellison, testifying in a $1 billion lawsuit against Google Inc. (GOOG:US), told a jury today that his company explored and ultimately abandoned developing a mobile phone using the Java programming language.
