The Czech Republic’s PX (PX) stock index snapped a two-day decline, rising 0.2 percent to 920.80 at its end of trading in Prague.

Erste Group Bank AG (EBS) of Austria rose 1.8 percent to 391 koruna. Lenders led European shares higher as Spanish bonds gained and German investor confidence unexpectedly rose.
Komercni Banka AS (KOMB) fell to 3,410 koruna from 3,561 koruna at yesterday’s close as the unit of Societe Generale SA started trading without the right to a 160 koruna dividend. Adjusted for the payout, the stock increased 0.3 percent.
Unipetrol AS (UNIP) , the biggest Czech oil refiner, slid 1.2 percent to 171 koruna. Industry and Trade Minister Martin Kuba proposed a new tax on motor fuels, E15 newspaper reported.
