The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close of trading.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell for a second day, dropping 0.3 percent to 23,268.50. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MXPECAPD) slid 0.2 percent to 2,959.83.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold miner, fell 2.5 percent to $4.35 after gold declined for a second day in New York.
Minsur SA (MINSURI1) (MINSURI1 PE), the world’s fourth-largest tin producer, dropped 2 percent to 2.90 soles after tin fell to a three-month low in London.
Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, slid 1.1 percent to $30.70 after copper slumped to a three-month low in London, said Jorge Ramirez, a trader at Lima- based brokerage Coril SAB.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian copper exploration company, fell 1 percent to 99 cents.
Casa Grande (CASAGRC1) (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer and a unit of Gloria SA, fell 2.6 percent to 17 soles after sugar dropped to a 10-month low in New York.
