Italy’s February Government Debt Drops to EU1.93 Trillion

Italian government debt narrowed to 1.93 trillion euros ($2.51 trillion) in February as the Treasury used funds from its Central Bank account to meet borrowing requirements, the Bank of Italy said today in its public- finances supplement.

The euro region’s second biggest debt decreased by 6.8 billion euros from a month earlier, the central bank said in the report.
