Canadian existing home sales rose 2.5 percent in March from the previous month, the Canadian Real Estate Association said.
Sales of 40,356 units were led by gains in Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton, the Ottawa-based realtor group said. Average prices fell 1.7 percent to C$367,821 ($367,858), led by an 11.3 percent drop in Vancouver.
From a year earlier, sales rose 1.6 percent, the smallest gain since April 2011.
