Russia Supports Kim as Next World Bank President, Siluanov Says

Russia will vote in favor of Dartmouth College President Jim Yong Kim, the U.S. nominee to head the World Bank, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

“Kim is a world-class professional who has experience in practical work,” Siluanov said today in an e-mailed statement after meeting Kim in Moscow. “The BRICS countries set professional qualities at the top of their list when discussing candidates to be president of the World Bank.”
