Gazprom to Divest From Kaunas Thermo Power Station, BNS Reports

Gazprom OAO (GAZP), the world’s biggest gas producer, will sell its 99.5 percent stake in Lithuania’s Kaunas Heat and Power Plant, the Baltic News Service reported today, citing Antanas Pranculis, the head of the Kaunas thermo power plant.

The stake will be sold to the plant’s minority shareholder, Clement Power Venture Inc. based in Switzerland, the newswire said. The size of the transaction wasn’t disclosed.

Kaunas is Lithuania’s second-largest city.
