The Russian prosecutor-general’s office began a review of contracts by OAO Transneft and OAO Rosneft with China, Vedomosti reported today, citing documents from the office.
The 25-year contracts were signed in 2009. China agreed on a $25 billion loan to the Russian companies in return for the guaranteed supply of 300 million tons of oil from 2011 through 2030.
