National Bank of Canada Tower in Montreal Blocked

April 11, 2012

Employees working in the National Bank of Canada tower in downtown Montreal have been allowed into the building after police broke up a demonstration blocking access to the structure.

About 200 protesters had earlier gathered in front of the building on De La Gauchetiere street, RDI television reported. Students were demonstrating against a planned increase in university tuition fees.
