Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended April 6 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 1905.2 billion yen ($23.5 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 94.4 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 8.7 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 2008.3 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 105.1 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 55.1 billion yen in stocks, and bought 3220 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 3169.9 billion yen.
