Hungary attracted 924.3 million euros ($1.2 billion) in foreign direct investments in 2011, which will create 5,736 jobs, the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency said.
The agency last year held talks about more than 5 billion euros of investment projects, whose completion would add about 18,000 jobs, it said in an e-mailed statement today.
Most companies considering investment in Hungary come from the U.S., Germany and Asia, according to the statement.
