German Two-, Five-Year Government Note Yields Drop to Record Low

German two- and five-year notes opened higher, pushing the yields to record lows.

The two-year note yield slid as much as two basis points to 0.119 percent. It was at 0.13 percent as of 7:09 a.m. London time. The five-year yield dropped as much as five basis points to 0.665 percent, the least since Bloomberg started collecting the data in 1990.

German 10-year bunds also rose, with the yield slipping five basis points to 1.69 percent.
