Credit Suisse Hires Gaertner for Technology Corporate Finance

April 10, 2012

Credit Suisse Group AG (CSGN) hired Chris Gaertner from Bank of America Corp. (BAC:US) as head of global corporate finance for the technology group based in San Francisco.

Gaertner, who led the technology group at Merrill Lynch & Co. from 2006 to 2008, will start at the Zurich-based bank in July, according to an internal memo.

Gaertner advised Autonomy Corp. Plc on its sale to Hewlett Packard Co. and Lawson Software Inc. on its $1.9 billion acquisition by Golden Gate Capital Corp. He will report to Mark Simonian and David Wah, the bank’s global co-head of telecommunications, media and technology, according to the memo.

The New York Times DealBook reported Gaertner’s move earlier today.
