The following companies are having unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 12:54 p.m. in Santiago.
The Ipsa index fell 0.7 percent to 4,572.42. The MSCI Chile index (MXCL) retreated 1.3 percent to 2,591.06.
Curauma SA (CURAUMA) fell 14 percent to 25 pesos, its lowest price in seven weeks. The real estate developer retreated after Chile’s securities regulator lifted a trading suspension on its stock that was imposed last week. Curauma sent revised financial statements to the regulator after its external auditor had initially refused to vouch for the veracity of the reports.
Embotelladora Andina SA (ANDINAB) rose 0.4 percent to 2,630 pesos and earlier increased as much as 3.1 percent. Chile’s largest Coca-Cola bottler reported a 10.4 percent jump in sales volume during the first quarter from a year ago.
Salfacorp SA (SALFACOR) retreated 5.5 percent to 1,140 pesos, its lowest price since July 2010. Chile’s largest construction company had its credit rating cut to BBB from BBB+ by Fitch Ratings.
