Portugal’s Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho agreed to sell Mozambique a 15 percent stake in the Cahora Bassa hydroelectric dam for $42 million.
The agreement may lead to more investment in Mozambique, Passos Coelho told reporters in Maputo, the capital, today. The dam provides power to Mozambique and its neighbors.
