The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close in Lima.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell 0.9 percent to 23,405.64. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MXPECAPD:US) slid 0.7 percent to 2,960.78.
Cia. Minera Milpo (MILPOC1) (MILPOC1 PE), a silver and zinc producer controlled by Sao Paulo-based Votorantim Metais Ltda., slumped 2.8 percent to 5.20 soles after silver dropped in New York.
Ferreyros SA (FERREYC1) (FERREYC1 PE), the Lima-based distributor for Caterpillar Inc., fell 2.6 percent to 3 soles after U.S. stocks declined, said Angel Alcala, a trader at Lima-based Juan Magot y Asociados SAB.
Casa Grande (CASAGRC1) (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer and a unit of Gloria SA, slid 2.2 percent to 17.60 soles after sugar dropped in New York.
Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SA (CVERDEC1) (CVERDEC1 PE), a unit of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., fell 2 percent to $41 after copper declined in New York.
Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), Peru’s largest copper producer, dropped 1.7 percent to $30.50.
