Cargo handled at Saudi Arabia’s Jubail Commercial Port more than doubled in the first quarter to 1.6 million tons, from 791,000 tons in the year-earlier period, al-Watan reported, citing Director General Captain Fahad al- Amer.
Shipments of bulk cargo jumped to 419,500 tons from 62,830 tons and the number of vessels that docked at the port rose 35 percent to 142, the newspaper said.
