Jordan began a technical study on importing natural gas from Iraq to compensate for recurrent cuts in supplies from Egypt, Al Rai reported.
Iraqi authorities have informed Jordan of plans to build a gas pipeline link across the border in the next five years, the Amman-based newspaper reported, citing an unidentified official at the Jordanian Energy Ministry.
