ILO Sees World Unemployment Rising to 209 Million, Die Welt Says

The International Labor Organization expects the number of unemployed people worldwide to rise from the current 200 million to 204 million this year and 209 million in 2013, Die Welt reported, citing Guy Ryder, the group’s deputy director general.

The estimates are based on the assumption that an economic recovery will take place from 2013, the newspaper cited Ryder as saying.
