German Home Ownership Rate Rises to 59%, Commerzbank Poll Shows

Fifty-nine percent of Germans now live in their own home, up from 55 percent in 2010, according to a survey by Commerzbank AG (CBK).

Thirty-two percent prefer new constructions, down from 38 percent in 2010, the Frankfurt-based lender said in a statement today.
