Saudi Arabia appointed a woman as an assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Health as part of government restructuring to improve public services, Arab News reported, citing Health Ministry spokesman Khalid al-Mirghalani
Muneera bint Hamdan al-Osaimi was the first woman to be appointed to this position at the ministry, the Jeddah-based newspaper reported. Her title is assistant undersecretary for medical services affairs, the newspaper said.
