Naka Matsuzawa, chief strategist at Nomura Securities Co. in Tokyo, was chosen as the top analyst for Japanese bonds in a survey of institutional investors by Nikkei Veritas for a second-straight year.
Jun Ishii, chief fixed-income strategist at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co. ranked second, followed by Chotaro Morita, chief fixed-income strategist in Tokyo at Barclays Capital., the weekly financial newspaper said yesterday.
In a separate ranking, Nikkei Veritas named Ryutaro Kono, chief economist at BNP Paribas SA in Tokyo, as its top-ranked economist. The government nominated Kono on March 23 to join the Bank of Japan (8301)’s policy board.
