Platts to Close its Oil Pricing Window at Midday on April 5

Platts, the energy news and pricing unit of McGraw-Hill Cos., will advance the closing time of its pricing window for oil and shipping by four hours on April 5, the day before Easter holiday in the U.K.

The assessment process for physical and derivative oil, shipping and petrochemicals will end at 12:30 p.m. London time on April 5, the company in a note to its subscribers today.

Argus Media, a competitor of Platts, will also bring forward the closing time for its London-based crude assessments to 12:30 p.m. from 4:30 p.m. on that day, the company said in an e-mailed response.
