CTC Media Inc. (CTCM)’s average daily share of viewers four-years-old and over fell to 7.4 percent in the week to March 25, after gaining the previous week, data compiled by TNS-Global shows.
Viewer share for CTC TV, the Nasdaq-listed Russian media company’s biggest source of revenue, fell from 7.5 percent in the week to March 18, data researcher TNS-Global said in an e- mail today. Among audiences 18 years and above, CTC remained the fifth-most popular channel with 6.2 percent viewer share, down from 6.5 percent the previous week, the data show.
NTV Television maintained the biggest average daily audience share in Russia. NTV’s audience fell to 15.1 percent in the week to March 25, from 15.4 percent a week earlier, while Russia’s Pervyi Kanal, which is controlled by the government, had a 14.2 percent share, compared with 14.9 percent in the previous period. Rossiya-1 had a 12.2 percent of average daily share of viewers four-years-old and over in the week to March 25, compared with 12.1 percent in the previous week, TNS-Global said.
NTV, Pervyi, the Rossiya-1 channel and TNT were all ahead of CTC among viewers ages 18 and over, TNS-Global said.
