Australian, N.Z. Dollars Advance as Asian Stocks Erase Decline

The Australian and New Zealand dollars advanced as Asian shares erased an early decline, supporting demand for higher-yielding assets.

The Aussie rose 0.2 percent to $1.0409 as of 1 p.m. in Sydney, while New Zealand’s kiwi dollar gained 0.3 percent to 81.95 U.S. cents. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.1 percent.
