Tullow Oil Plans to Drill as Many as 20 Wells in Uganda in 2012

Tullow Oil Plc (TLW), the U.K. explorer with the most licenses in Africa, plans to drill as many as 20 wells in Uganda this year, said Ian Cloke, exploration manager for southern and East Africa.

Tullow expects to begin “small-scale” production in the East African country in “late 2012,” Cloke said in a speech today at the Eastern Africa Oil, Gas & Energy Week in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.
