German Opposition Parties Back Merkel EFSF Extension, FAZ Says

The Social Democrats and Greens, Germany’s main opposition parties, back Chancellor Angela Merkel on extending the period the European Financial Stability Facility will function for, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported.

The Frankfurt-based newspaper cited comments by Sigmar Gabriel, leader of the SPD, and Renate Kuenast, who chairs the parliamentary group for the Greens.
