Kuwait plans to issue a tender within weeks for a second terminal at its airport, KUNA reported.
The terminal, which may cost as much as 800 million dinars ($2.9 billion), will be completed in 2016 and have an annual capacity for 25 million passengers, the state-run news agency said, citing Hussam al-Tahous, assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Public Works.
Sixteen international companies have expressed interest in the project, KUNA reported.
