Kandarian’s Pay at MetLife More Than Doubles to $10.6 Million

Steven Kandarian’s compensation at MetLife Inc. (MET) more than doubled last year as he was promoted to chief executive officer of the largest U.S. life insurer.

Kandarian was awarded $10.6 million for last year, including a $3 million bonus, compared with about $4.2 million in 2010 when he was chief investment officer, the New York-based company said today in a regulatory filing.
