Estonia’s Budget Surplus Widened to 1% of GDP in 2011; Debt Grew

Estonia’s budget surplus widened to 1 percent of gross domestic product last year, compared with 0.2 percent in 2010, the Tallinn-based statistics office said on its website today, citing preliminary data.

Public debt relative to economic output grew to 6 percent from 5.8 percent a year earlier, the office said.
