Boston College Reaches NCAA Hockey Semis With 17th Straight Win

Boston College reached the semifinals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s hockey tournament with its 17th straight victory, 4-0 over defending champion Minnesota-Duluth.

Johnny Gaudreau and Patrick Wey each had a goal and an assist for top-ranked Boston College (31-10-1) yesterday in Worcester, Massachusetts, while goaltender Parker Milner had 33 saves. The Eagles advance to play the University of Minnesota in the Frozen Four on April 5 in Tampa, Florida.

Minnesota (28-13-1) beat North Dakota 5-2 yesterday to win the West Regional in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ferris State and Union College of New York will meet in the other national semifinal in Tampa on April 5. The championship game will be played two days later.
