Macquarie Group Ltd. (MQG) is selling its stake in the parent company of Thames Water Utilities Ltd., the U.K.’s biggest water and sewer company, for 700 million pounds, ($1.1 billion) the Sunday Telegraph said.
The stake in Kemble Water Holdings Ltd. is about 8.7 percent and gives the owner a seat on the company’s board, the London newspaper said, citing sources it didn’t identify. Macquarie, an Australian investment firm, declined to comment, according to the article.
